On August 1st 2009 we had club members and rigs attending three different events in Central NY. Some of them attended more than one of the events such as the group pictured here. These rigs are pictured lining up for the 2009 Onondaga County Volunteer Firefighters Association parade hosted by the Camillus Fire Department.

Attending this event were several of Gary Thurstons rigs with Mike Randall driving the 1928 Seagrave 6-W-D former Syracuse Fire Department Engine 1, Barry S. Lasky (Jr) driving the 1961 Mack B95 sedan cab former Bryan Ohio, Dan Tokarz and his wife in the former Harpursville NY 1964 Mack B85F  1600 gallon pumper tanker, and Barry C. Lasky (Elder) and his wife Joann with Thurston's 1966 Segrave Engine that served in Tully NY.

These rigs paraded here and then went immediatly to our annual picnic in Willow Bay at Onondaga Lake Park. After the picnic. Mike and Kathleen Randall and Barry Lasky (Jr) went back to the Firemans Convention in Camillus. As they watched the awards for the parade being presented, they were on hand to receive the award for the Best Appearing Antique announced for "SPAAMFAA Engine 1" which was Thurstons 1928 Seagrave.
